Ever since I launched my website back in 2015 I’ve tweaked, changed, improved and modernized the look of the site too many times to count. It’s only natural to change your mind a few times in the early phases of starting a business, especially when you’re working out exactly how you want your brand to look and how you want your audience to relate to it.
I love using WordPress for my blog and website for this reason. I love that it’s simple to use and easy to customize your website or blog just by installing a new theme without having to spend huge money on website developers.
Themes are what make your website unique! By picking a theme that suits your blogging or business style it can really show your audience what you are about and what they might expect when they visit your website. By customizing your chosen theme you’re able to give what might seem like a generic theme your special touch and adds consistency to your brand.
Here’s a round up of my favourite WordPress themes for female bloggers or entrepreneurs…
I love the clean, modern look of the Victoria Theme by Bluchic. I’ve seen this blog/website structure popping up a lot across the interwebs and I really like the look! There’s plenty of scope for customising this theme to suite your business and brand but still has that feminine touch for the girlbosses out there.
I love the Front Row theme by Munich Paris Studio because it exudes minimalist style! It’s perfect for a fashion blogger and even features the option for adding in a link to purchase items listed in blog posts. So handy! A really classy and simple theme.
I love the look of the Isabelle theme by BluChic! I love that it offers a carousel image block under the menu for showcasing blog posts or pages. It looks easy to navigate and looks crisp and clean. Perfect for the modern beauty, lifestyle or fashion blogger for sure.
I’ve been a huge fan of Angie Makes WordPress themes from the very beginning. My first theme I ever had installed on my website was an Angie Makes theme and I’m so thankful because that first theme really taught me about how to customise my blog and all of the additional features available on WordPress! The Jasmine theme by Angie Makes is super popular and I see it popping up on Pinterest a lot. There’s no wonder it’s a female biz-boss favourite, it’s clean, fun and feminine.
I love the look of the Samatha theme by Bluchic, it has that classic, classy look and is perfect for the modern blogger.
Station Seven are the kings and queens of minimalist-looking WordPress themes. I’ve previously played with one of their designs and found them to look very professional with customization possibilities that are really nice. Although the Analogue theme isn’t super ‘girly’ as such, I still think it makes for an awesome-looking template to build on, and once you implement your own blog post imagery in your own brand style, I think this theme is spot on!
